5By Far The Best For Serious Runners and Cyclists
    By Jim
Swiftwick are the best socks; these are the best of the best. I usually wear a mid-weight sock, for extra cushioning. Here in TN, even at 5:30 in the morning, after running 8-10 miles, I am soaked from head to toe. Literally. With another excellent brand of socks, around mile 8 miles into a 10 or half-marathon race, my socks and shoes began to be drenched. So I experimented with different shoe/sock combinations. A friend of mine suggested the Swiftwick Aspire socks. I thought they were too thin; not enough cushioning. Well, they are thin. But, not a problem to get used to. Yes, my feet still sweat and there is no way to stop sweat from running down my leg and into my sock/shoes. Again, with 78 degree heat and upward to 90% humidity at 5:30 a.m., it's just not gonna happen. The moral of this story is the lighter the sock, the less heavy they feel when soaked with sweat. I also have another pair of these and the Aspire one's (Swiftwick rates their socks according to height. Two, shown above, is slightly above the ankle.) Look, if you run, you know this, and if you don't you should. NEVER, EVER, wear any socks (or clothes, for that matter) with ANY cotton in them. It's like carrying a weight around you when you sweat. I run in another great brand of socks, Balega, but, I'm gonna stick with Swiftwick. I like them, plus the company is based in my home state of TENNESSEE!

    5Great Quality Cycling Socks
    By gerald
These are perfect cycling socks. They are thin, wick very well, and as a bonus they look sharp.
