Order a size up
By Crazy about taxes
Order a size up, tight at the hip where you bend of the leg, but compression is good. I am 128lb, 5'5", the small was binding right where you need some give as you bike, almost like it would cut off your circulation.. Since there was no size chart, I checked another Baleaf brand product, and it indicated a small would be a 2-4, my usual size, and a medium 6-8. Sending back for a medium.

Great shorts, good performance, comfy material. :)
Perfect. Thin material, but not see through. I use for swimming with a tank top. Fits like a glove for comfortable swimming laps. I may buy another pair. The length is a little longer than all the little hot pants that the young girls are wearing when working out so I am a bit more comfortable with my 40 something year old thighs covered up. They don't ride up either. Good shorts.

No compression, and slide around.
By Anna Taylor
I am 5'5", 169lb, athletic. A lot of it is muscle, evenly distributed. I am always a size M in normal sizing.
I have been running with these shorts for about 4 weeks. I bought them because my Nike Pro are getting pretty worn. I also liked the print, the price was good, and the reviews were pretty good.
The first thing that occurred to me about these shorts was that they do not in any way grip my skin. They actually slide on my skin while running until I start sweating, at which point they stop sliding around. However, they have already started stretching around the leg, and slide up enough that the hem starts to chafe.
I have experience with compression wear, and I am sorry to say it. These in no way hold on well enough to give compression even if you bought a size smaller than you usually wear.
As average running shorts, they're okay. I would not recommend them to a friend as they are right now.
