Great for commuter.
By Mary Morris
This was perfect for my junk commuter bike. I have a water bottle in one cage and a bottle sized container holding all my tools. Easy to install!

Very light weight aluminum made that would make the cyclist better for hydration
Disclaimer (I just include this statement indiscriminately for all discounted merchandise deals, be they Amazon Daily Flash Deals, Seller Promotion, Review Deals, Lightning Deals, etc. in order to comply with Federal Trade Commission 16 CFR Part 255): I got the item on its promotional day either paying a fraction or free and I was told by the Amazon that the promotion has to be revealed elsewhere in the comment and I have heard people swear that Amazon will delete comments (yup, they value the feedbacks to the highest extent) or in some instances, suspend the Amazon account (I don't think they will, to be honest) for non-conformers. Anyway, I vow to write all the statements in accordance with my own usage experience to the closest truth it can be. And I'm not associated with the seller party in any form of connection.
This is such s simple a design, you'd think there would be a lot of similar products on the market, but the Minoura is pretty much it. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is, but its function is undenialable. I thought I might have some contact with the bottles as they sit more upright than other designs and I like to ride a little far back on my saddle, but no worries. I can also still use my under the seat saddle bag which is a huge plus. Other designs you can't.
Just tighten the bracket slowly going back and forth between the two bolts and don't overtighten. I've heard of some people breaking the bracket, but that's just from applying way more force than necessary I believe.
I love this add-on to my bike for long (half and full Ironman events), in addition to my two frame cages. Very easy to put on. You simply remove the metal plate, slide it on top of your saddle supports and then mount the bracket with two screws. I use this with two Ibera cages that I bought on Amazon as well and these hold two 20oz Camelbak (also from Amazon of course) bottles for additional hydration. You can lower or raise the bracket to some degree but the bottles will not interfere with your seating position. I never even know they are back there until I need to reach behind me for a bottle. I don't recall the weight but it's marginal unless you're someone who feels that 10 grams of can improve your triathlon performance considerably.

By Diana M Eldridge
This water bottle cage adapter is very durable. This specific item is only the adapter so you need to either already have the cages or purchase them with this item. Seeing the title of the item and the pictures didn't confirm whether or not it was only an adapter and the review I could see didn't clarify any of this information. This did come with all of the hardware to attach it to my bike and also to attach the cages when I get them in. My bike currently doesn't have a water bottle holder so I am excited to have this item and to get the other parts in to have it usable.
Disclaimer- I did receive this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
